Fawn Hollow in the Spring

I have received a few requests to share pictures of my house and gardens. I drafted a post just about my house, that I will share at a later date. Today just a few words and many pictures.
The Fawn Hollow sign was here when we bought the house. The land was just weeds and grass. In the beginning I did help with the gardening, then I had a baby, and had to admit that I really didn't like to garden. Of course I love that my husband does, even if it can be an escape from us at times!
View from the driveway.
Purple, pink, white and yellow Iris's
The Fawn Hollow Hillbillies?
(I have drunk much alcohol while sitting on that porch)
That is Cokee, our 15 year old cat.

Light and dark yellow Iris's

Close up of my favorite Iris.

View from the path that leads to the pool.(Cokee loves to follow us)

Lonely white Lupin.
Wild yellow Iris and purple Lupins.

View from the porch. Lupins were the first flowers we planted. White Birch tree hus planted 2 years ago.

We also have wild purple Iris which naturally grow near the stream at the bottom of our property. Hus transplanted many of our flowers from his parents house and or friends houses. Later in the Spring, I will show you our Wild Roses, Pin Cushions, Poppies and whatever else I can find. In the summer we have Lily's and other flowers, I'll share, some of which I have no idea of their names.
The white pots on the porch were all bought from garage sales. Some are old pee pots.

I'd give about a million dollars to be sitting on that porch drinking with you right now.

Looks like Heaven! Love the Lupins! And Cokee. And the green trim against the brown house. Oh, and I'll have a glass of wine, please. I'll be on the porch waitin' for ya! Bring the bottle.

Those flowers are beautiful. If we weren't renting our house (and if I thought I would remember to do things like water them) I would have tons of beautiful flowers all over our front yard! Like one of those gardens you see in front of restored victorian houses where it's like a sea of color with a little brick path running through the middle leading to the front door.

Also, I need your help! I'm trying to start what could be a rather large project. Come check out my blog to read about my very exciting idea for a bloggers video. And don't forget to drag your friends and readers into it, too. Kicking and screaming if you have to. This will only turn out great if lots of people get involved! You know you wanna do it!

Just gorgeous!!!! No wonder you love your GM country. I am a terrible gardener, and so jealous!

My task is the planters on the porch. Period. And they wilt all the time :(

Wow girlfriend, looks like heaven to me. I am so jealous that you live in the country, and you have a front porch to boot. We are still looking for a weekend place, is yours available? he he!! Love the lupins.
