Today is also my daughter E's 11Th birthday. I will be spending the day wrapping gifts, making cake decorations and preparing her favorite meal. She loves barbecued Baby Back Ribs. They cost $14, so I better not burn them.
Since I don't have the decorations ready for E's party, I will share some from my son T's 5TH birthday party. It was a Sponge Bob pool party. The kids had a great time swimming, eating and playing. The favorite game was something I made up called "Pin the Shorts on Patrick"...
Start with Patrick in his tightey whiteys...
Thn have the kids take turns taping shorts on Pat while blindfolded...
I decorated the pool deck with these hand painted characters from Sponge Bob. I drew them on poster board and the kids helped paint them.

You're making other mothers look bad. We NEVER got a special favorite meal on our birthday because my dad was a tyrant.
I got a jiffy cake mix cake and a new pair of pajamas for my birthday when I was a kid. And the cake was for my mother and for me as I was born 2 days after her birthday. And the hats were never, ever, thrown away, because we had birthdays quite often in our house. :sigh:
Heidi, you are amazing, what an awesome Mom and woman you are!! I hope little E, has a fantastic B-day
filled with lots of fun. You are the best Mom ever.
P.S. I love and adore sponge Bob and Patrick, those boys rock he he!!
Those renditions are fantastic. I never would have guessed that you drew them yourself.
My boys are obsessed with sponge bob and patrick and are often acting them out with all their shinanigans.
Sounds like a great birthday.
The kids did a great job painting! Very creative of you! Great mom.
Tip and Tizzy's pic is funny! Should we call child welfare?
Hey! Happy birthday, E! My two were born on an odd number celebration day, too. When people ask their birthday, I say 3, 5, 7. Because that's what it is. They then cock their head giving me a weird look, and I have to go, alright, 3, 5, OH 7. Whatever.
And you are always so creative and I am always so impressed with your creations. I used to think I was creative, but I have since found out I am soooo not.
That math thing? Only in the US... everyone else writes the date 7/5/09. But happy odd day anyway :))
