I wasn't a huge fan of Patrick Swayze. I really can't say why, I mean he was a good actor, dancer and pretty damn good looking. There were movies he starred in that I enjoyed but only one I thought was great. The Outsiders is my favorite Patrick Swayze movies, as a matter of fact it is one of my all time favorite movies. I've watched it several times and now that I am reminded of it I think I'll have to watch it again soon. It's a 'coming of age' movie which stars other famous actors like Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise and Matt Dillon.
One thing I noticed since Patrick Swayze died is the lack of publicity about it. We are still hearing about Michael Jackson, every waking minute. I've heard very little about Swayze. After MJ died radio stations of all types were playing his songs. Even my alternative rock station jumped on that bandwagon.
So I wanted to share this vid of Patrick Swayze performing this song which he wrote for his wife.
I'm sure you all have heard it before.
Rest In Peace Patrick Swayze
On a side note: I am writing this at 2am so hopefully it's not too grammatically incorrect!

I loved some of his films. The reason that he did not get the press coverage is because his death was an expected event. He was basically diagnosed as terminal a year ago. MJ was unexpected.(Not to Me).
One of my favorite Swayze moments was his Saturday Night live skit with Chris Farley!
The Outsiders was my first very favorite book that I read over and over and over. I was so excited when the movie came out. I don't know which I've seen/read more, but wow, they take me right back to my youth.
Patrick was on the cover of 3 magazines, People, Us and I can't remember the other one. He got full covers too, Farrah didn't even get that.
Awww. That was sweet of you to remember Patrick Swayze. I still feel bad for Farrah Fawcett, getting pushed out of the headlines by the death of the mighty MJ.
Hope you're doing great!
I loved Ghost and Dirty Dancing. I can't imagine how many times I've watched them both. But I don't think I've ever seen The Outsiders.
I was very sad when I first heard about his cancer, because the prognosis for Pancreatic Cancer is always bad.
I remember this song from back in the day and you know what, i never realized he sung it. RIP Mr. Swayze.
