Saturday Sounds 7

When I was young, I mourned many a loser, I mean lover, listening to this song. I still can't listen to it without crying. Luckily the radio stations I listen to don't play it so I don't have to worry about spontaneously breaking down in tears without warning. What song makes you cry?

My eyes are watering and I am not even sad!
I know my tastes is strange but fabulous. Hard core punk rock to Barry, what's not to like?

Ok, laugh if you want, but I can never hear When you Wish Upon a Star without crying. There I said it.

I have always had a weak spot for Mr. Manilow!

There were two songs that were from the time that my parents were getting divorced, one was "Seasons in the sun" and the other was "American Pie"!

Dear Heidi,

I am long overdue in thanking you for my Elvis songs you Put up for me. What fun! I am also remiss in thanking you for your kindness' in saying goodby from the nursing floor for Hilary...the basket, the kids flowers, she was touched. Song to cry for? Oh Heidi, you know I spent too many years in the Navy, so give me Anchors Aweigh or a Suza march! Again, thanks! Jeff

This makes me laugh, because I had a thing for Barry Manilow as a kid and my mom would always say, "Ack! He's SO sappy!"
So we listened to Cat Stevens and Phoebe Snow instead.
Ah the 70's.
